The long-standing stars of CBS’ acclaimed procedural drama NCIS: Los Angeles are reuniting for a charitable cause following the show’s conclusion after an impressive 14-season run.
Daniela Ruah, known for her role as Kensi Blye, excitedly announced the reunion on Instagram while sharing details about her participation in the Malibu triathlon to support the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Addressing her 1.1 million followers, Ruah shared, “For the past few years, I’ve been part of the Malibu triathlon, raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Usually, I’ve only taken part in the running section as part of a relay team.”
Turning 40 in December, Ruah decided to challenge herself by tackling the entire race, which involves swimming, biking, and running. She mentioned, “This year, I’ve decided to gift myself an entire race, swimming, biking, and running.”
Excited about this new endeavor, Ruah expressed, “We’ve gathered a little team to help raise funds, including Caleb Castille, Duncan Campbell, and my dear husband, David Olson, who played Tom Olson.”
Ruah, highlighting their preparation, stated, “We’re currently training and having a blast, aiming to raise $10,000 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I’m feeling a mix of nerves and excitement but training with these guys has been an incredible experience!”
In her caption, she added, “If anyone has tips or advice, I’m all ears!”
Fans of the show eagerly embraced the news of the cast reuniting for this noble cause, offering support and advice to Ruah as she prepares for the triathlon.
