The stars of NCIS: Los Angeles continue to immerse themselves in the expansive franchise. While LL Cool J reprises his role as Sam Hanna on NCIS: Hawai’i, Daniela Ruah, known for portraying Kensi Blye, is extending her directorial ventures within the NCIS universe.
After debuting as a director in NCIS: LA’s 12th season and helming six episodes, Ruah is set to direct an episode of NCIS scheduled to air in March. Additionally, she will direct an episode of NCIS: Hawai’i slated for April.
Ruah expressed her delight at returning to the roots of her character, Kensi, which originated 15 years ago on NCIS. She conveyed her honor at stepping onto the set once again, highlighting the warm reception she received from the cast and crew, describing the experience as akin to returning home.
In a conversation with Deadline, Ruah emphasized the importance of a director’s role, mentioning the need to discern when to delve deeply into a scene’s creation and when to step back, allowing other talents to shine.
Both NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i are set to premiere new episodes on Feb. 12, with NCIS embarking on its 21st season and Hawai’i its third.
As the series resume, fans can anticipate the introduction of Season 3 of NCIS: Hawai’i, along with the inclusion of a new cast member.
