CBS has officially renewed its popular drama series for the 2024 season, including the flagship series “NCIS,” as well as “NCIS: Hawaii” and “CSI: Vegas.” The 21st season of “NCIS,” the third season of “NCIS: Hawaii,” and the third season of “CSI: Vegas” are all set to return. This announcement follows the earlier renewals of comedy series such as “So Help Me Todd,” “Ghosts,” “The Neighborhood,” “Bob Hearts Abishola,” “FBI,” “FBI International,” and “FBI: Most Wanted,” as well as drama series like “Young Sheldon” and “The Equalizer.”
Amy Reysenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, expressed confidence in the network’s winning tradition, citing a combination of top returning series and new hits that entertain large audiences on both broadcast and streaming platforms. She praised the outstanding work of the talent both in front of and behind the camera, anticipating another incredible season in the fall.
With its 20th season renewal last year, “NCIS” became the third-longest-running U.S. primetime drama series, surpassing “Gunsmoke.” The series stars C. Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, and Katrina Law, among others. “NCIS: Hawaii” features a cast led by Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmin Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson, and Yian Talon. “CSI: Vegas,” the follow-up to “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” stars Jorja Fox, William Petersen, Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, and others.
Apart from these scripted series, CBS has also renewed unscripted shows like “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race,” “Tough as Nails,” and game show “Lingo,” along with news magazines “60 Minutes” and “48 Hours.” This comprehensive lineup reflects CBS’s commitment to delivering diverse and compelling content to its audience.
