NCIS actor Michael Weatherly hints at more surprises in store for the forthcoming Tony and Ziva spinoff, set to premiere on Paramount+.
Weatherly, alongside Cote de Pablo, will reprise their iconic roles, with John McNamara penning the episodes. The spinoff, comprised of ten episodes, will follow Tony and Ziva as they embark on a thrilling journey on the run.
As one of CBS Studios’ most beloved franchises, NCIS continues to expand its universe. In addition to the Tony and Ziva spinoff, original star Mark Harmon will return to narrate and executive produce a Gibbs-focused prequel titled NCIS: Origins for CBS. Weatherly, expressing his enthusiasm on social media, teased that more surprises are on the horizon.
The reunion of Weatherly and De Pablo on-screen after a decade marks a momentous occasion for NCIS fans. The spinoff, titled NCIS: Europe, will be helmed by showrunner John McNamara and is slated to commence production later this year.
Set in Europe, the storyline will see Tony and Ziva navigating parenthood while on the run, facing challenges as they strive to protect their daughter, Tali. As their security company comes under attack, the couple, known affectionately as Tiva, must reconcile their past and work together to uncover the truth, hoping for a long-awaited happy ending.
While further casting details for the NCIS spinoff remain undisclosed, anticipation mounts as fans eagerly await the next chapter in the Tony and Ziva saga.
