At the commencement of the episode, viewers notice Gibbs walking with a subtle limp, a consequence of Mark Harmon undergoing a knee replacement between seasons 12 and 13. Interestingly, there is no effort to conceal the injury, as Harmon’s character had been shot in the knee at the end of season 12.
