NCIS: Sydney Reveals First Look at Spinoff Show!

NCIS: Sydney has unveiled its first-look trailer, offering a glimpse into the upcoming spinoff’s narrative.

The series will center on the Australian Federal Police, focusing on NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey (played by Olivia Swann) and her second in command, Australian Sergeant Jim “JD” Dempsey (portrayed by Todd Lasance), as showcased in the latest teaser shared on Instagram.

The brief clip shows the duo being commended for their collaboration on a recent case before being informed about their continued partnership in the future.

Dempsey expresses his disagreement, mentioning that they didn’t quite mesh well together and refers to Mackey as “a massive pain in the a**e.” Meanwhile, Mackey acknowledges they got lucky during their previous case.

Their supervisors, however, seem to have a different perspective, asserting that luck had no role in their success, leaving Mackey and Dempsey visibly concerned.

Joining Swann and Lasance in the cast are Mavournee Hazel from Neighbours, along with Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, and William McInnes.

NCIS: Sydney’s official premise describes it as follows: “With rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific, a diverse team of US NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) unite as a multinational task force to combat naval crimes in one of the world’s most contested ocean regions.”

Following its move to CBS in the US, the spinoff’s release dates have been confirmed. It is set to debut on Tuesday, November 14, at 8 pm on CBS, airing weekly on Tuesdays instead of its usual Monday slot.

Episodes will be available for live viewing and on-demand streaming on Paramount Plus with Showtime subscriptions. Paramount Plus Essentials subscribers will have access to each episode a day after its broadcast.

The series will premiere on Paramount Plus in Australia on Friday, November 10. Specific international release dates, including those for the UK, are yet to be announced.

NCIS is broadcast on CBS in the US, while Seasons 1-20 are currently streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
