Sasha Alexander, renowned for her role as Agent Kate Todd in NCIS, has maintained a diverse schedule with a range of projects in both television and film since her departure from the show.
Kate Todd played a pivotal role in the NCIS team until her unexpected exit in the second season. Her departure was marked by a shocking incident where she was shot in the head by the double-agent Ari Haswari, leading to her colleague Ziva David fatally shooting him.
After leaving NCIS, Sasha Alexander ventured into various shows and films, including notable works like “Lucky 13,” “Yes Man,” “Friends,” “The Ride,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “FBI.”
A standout role for Alexander was her portrayal of Maura Isles in the series “Rizzoli & Isles,” a character she embodied for six years. Additionally, she portrayed Helene Runyon in the SAG Award-winning series “Shameless.”
In more recent endeavors, Sasha lent her voice to the character Adeline in the animated film “Deathstroke Knights and Dragons,” starred in “Dangerous Lies,” and made a guest appearance in an episode of “Law and Order.”
Outside her professional life, Sasha Alexander enjoys a happy marriage with Edoardo Ponti, whom she met at USC’s film school, and the couple exchanged vows in 2007. Notably, she is the daughter-in-law of the legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren, Edoardo’s mother from her marriage to Carlo Ponti.
The couple has two children, a daughter named Lucia Sofia Ponti and a son named Leonardo Fortunato Ponti. In May, the former NCIS star celebrated her 50th birthday surrounded by loved ones in Paris.
