For NCIS fans, bidding farewell to one show in the franchise this year is inevitable, with NCIS: Los Angeles concluding its 14-season run in May. However, CBS has exciting news for viewers as it announces renewals for a lineup of fan-favorite series for the 2023-24 broadcast season.
Among the renewed shows are NCIS, hailed as the #1 broadcast series in the drama category, along with NCIS: Hawai’i, CSI: Vegas, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough as Nails, Lingo, 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours. Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, expressed pride in the network’s winning tradition and the exceptional work of its talent, both in front of and behind the camera, in delivering outstanding programming.
These renewals add to the roster of previously announced returning series, including Fire Country, Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd, The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted. Additionally, CBS has greenlit The Never Game, a new drama starring Justin Hartley, for the upcoming season.
While these renewals secure the future of many CBS favorites, the fate of scripted TV shows like Blue Bloods, East New York, S.W.A.T., and the yet-to-premiere True Lies remains uncertain.
These CBS renewals complement the lineup of other returning broadcast shows for the 2023-24 season, including NBC’s La Brea and Quantum Leap, as well as Fox’s The Cleaning Lady, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers.
